The Homs Dairy Company achieved sales of more than 5 billion Syrian pounds from its various products from the beginning of the year until the end of last September.
Engineer Muhammad Hammad, General Manager of the company revealed in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that during the aforementioned period, more than 19 tons of sterilized milk and 1731 tons of canned milk were produced in addition to the production of 1649 tons of labneh and about 1500 tons of cheese of all kinds, Akkawi - Qashqwan - cooked - Quraish. The production of beef butter reached 12 tons and 2 tons of beef butter.
He added: The percentage of milk supply to the company reached about 74 percent, with a total amount of 8,610 tons, noting that the rise in raw milk prices this year compared to last year and the high prices of production inputs led to a decline in the production and marketing process, in addition to the weak purchasing power of the citizen, reducing the demand for many Products, pointing out that the company seeks to sell its products directly to citizens through its refrigerated cars at wholesale prices as a kind of positive intervention in the market.
A few months ago, the company opened a new line for the production of sterilized and flavored milk in small containers of 250 mm capacity with a capacity of 8 tons of raw milk per day.
