”, explained Stéphane Troussel, president of the departmental council, during '' a press conference at Theodore-Monod college in Gagny.

As part of this project, volunteer journalists - about twenty have already responded to the call - must participate in workshops lasting a few hours or support long-term projects.

Intervening for eight years in schools, Violette Voldoire, journalist at Radio Parleur, estimated that media education "

At his side, the designer Plantu, also underlined the importance of his interventions with young people to sensitize them to press cartoons, ten days after the attack which targeted Samuel Paty, beheaded for showing caricatures of the prophet Muhammad to his students.

", he explained.

In its missions of awakening critical thinking and fighting against obscurantism, understanding the media is central, as must the role of those who bring them to life

", summarized Stéphane Troussel.

After the Charlie Hebdo attacks in 2015, Seine-Saint-Denis and the Cartooning for Peace association in Plantu had set up several workshops and meetings in colleges in the department.

In addition, several journalists have organized residencies there since 2017.
