Former basketball player turned one of the world's biggest salesmen Shaquille O'Neal will star in his first television series at
Shaq's Garage.
The story, which is presented as a cartoon project designed for children, revolves around a series of vehicles that the former Los Angeles Lakers player keeps in his garage.
O'Neal will not play himself, which is quite common in his acting career, which consists mainly of cameos in comedies: here his role will be Big Diesel, the car that leads the group of vehicles.
In each chapter they will engage in a different adventure and acquire skills that, following the business style that has made O'Neal one of the greatest entrepreneurs to come out of a basketball court, are carefully named: the fighting style will be ShaqFu , the secret language will be Shaqanese and doubts will be resolved with the Shaqtionary.
The series will be one of the first projects of Genius Brands, a company that develops brands around the world, and in which O'Neal recently entered as an investor.
It will begin airing in the United States from 2022. It is one more example of children's fiction as part of a great commercial strategy to end up selling toys or, at least promoting brands.
But above all it is the consolidation of Shaquille O'Neal as a television superpower of 2.16 meters in height.
In addition to advertising products on the small screen for other brands and having a series of businesses, ranging from jewelry, fashion and shoe lines, to drinks, the former athlete maintains an unstoppable television career since before leaving basketball in 2011. First it was with a
