The four people who died in a shipwreck on Tuesday in the English Channel are an Iranian Kurdish couple and two of their children, according to the BBC, which quotes the father's brother.

Rasoul Iran-Nejad and Shiva Mohammad Panahi, both 35, died with their children Anita and Armin, aged 9 and 6, according to their uncle Ali.
The family was from Sardasht in western Iran, near the border with Iraq.
They ignore the fate of the couple's last son, 15-month-old Artin.

Some say he's alive, others say he's dead,
” his uncle told the BBC.
“
Our family here is desperate.
My father, mother and sisters are crying all their tears,
”he added, explaining that the family had“
paid a lot of money
”to join the UK.
Fourteen of the 15 survivors were able to be heard, the fifteenth still being treated, said Wednesday the prosecutor of Dunkirk (northern France) who is leading the investigation.
