The city council of Hama completed the maintenance and restoration of the Naoura al-Kilania, located opposite the Kilaniya Bridge, next to the Apamea terrace, with a diameter of 11.60 meters.
Hama City Council Chairman Adnan Al-Tayyar explained to SANA's correspondent that the waterwheels department's workshops completed the maintenance of the waterwheel after a work that lasted more than a month, as the damaged wood was replaced by wood manufactured at the department’s headquarters, indicating that since the beginning of the current year, four water wheels have been repaired and rehabilitated and put into service, namely the Commission, the Sahony, the Jabaria and the Muhammadiyah. .
He pointed out that in the event that the necessary wood is available for maintenance, before the end of the year, the Al-Moayadiah waterfall will be maintained, with a diameter of 7.80 meters, located in the Al-Tawfara neighborhood next to the Tax Authority, pointing out that the wood used for maintenance are eucalyptus, poplar, walnut, oak and pine.
