A month after the murder of the police officer Juan Pablo Roldán, stabbed by a man a few meters from the Malba, national and Buenos Aires authorities discovered a plaque in his tribute on the corner of Palermo where he lost his life.
The event was led by the Minister of Security, Sabina Frederic, and her counterpart from the City, Diego Santilli, along with the officer's family and friends, at the intersection of Figueroa Alcorta and San Martín de Tours avenues, in Palermo.
The plaque that reads: "
Tribute of the people of the Argentine Nation to Inspector Juan Pablo Roldán
, who offered his life in defense of citizenship" was placed there.
The minister took the floor and assured that this tribute "is a humble way of remembering Juan Pablo Roldán, an Argentine federal policeman who gave his life in an immensely generous way to save other lives in this same place."
Juan Pablo Roldán had a 4-year-old son and was murdered just meters from the Malba.

For his part, the Buenos Aires deputy head of government also spoke about it and agreed with Frederic: "We have to take care of and honor those men who do not hesitate for a moment to save the lives of others."
On September 28, Inspector Roldán (34), of the Federal Mounted Police Corps,
was killed with four stab wounds
by a man with psychiatric problems.
The murderer,
Rodrigo Facundo Roza
(51), was bothering customers of a bar when Roldán arrived with a colleague to dissuade him.
The aggressor took out a knife from a backpack, the troops were unable to reduce it, he pounced on Roldán, applied four points to him, and ended up being shot.
The two later died from the severity of their injuries.
