A 75-year-old woman arrived today (Thursday) at an emergency pre-medical center in Ashdod in a difficult and life-threatening condition, after being bitten by a snake.

After receiving life-saving treatment, she was transferred in an intensive care unit to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod, in a difficult and unstable condition.

After receiving a serum, her condition stabilized and she was out of danger, but she is still hospitalized in intensive care.

Elad Katz, manager of the pre-Ashdod branch, said that the woman arrived at the emergency pre-medical center in Ashdod in the evening when she was pale, confused and weak and said that she began to feel bad shortly after getting into the car, after feeling a sting in her leg.

Fanny Malul, the woman who was beaten, said: "I live in front of the sea, I got out of the house to the car where friends were waiting for me. I opened the car door in the back, I put my right foot in, I sat down and when I lifted my left leg to get in the car I felt a strong sting. "Blood and I immediately started having tremors in my lips, a feeling of a swollen face and a bad general feeling. The friends immediately started traveling to the emergency room, as soon as we arrived, vomiting began and a feeling that my consciousness was fading and I was about to faint."

Dr. Uri Rapalevich, the center's doctor, said: "The woman suffered from low blood pressure and multiple vomiting. At first, there was a suspicion that it was a reaction to stress, which is reflected in the activation of the vagal nerve, which is a fairly common condition.

We started giving fluids in order to raise blood pressure.

However, as her condition continued to deteriorate, it was speculated that it was an allergy. "

"Even after taking drugs to raise blood pressure and the heart system - the blood pressure did not stabilize and it continued to deteriorate.

He said, after raising this hypothesis, "While in treatment, we tried to dub her and her friends who brought her to the hotline and we were able to understand that she felt a sting in her left ankle immediately after getting into the car, and within minutes began to feel unwell. Indeed in the ankle examination we saw the bruises. The mobile that evacuated her to the hospital arrived shortly. "
