Demonstrations against government corruption Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues today (Thursday) for the 19th week in a row on bridges, intersections and other centers throughout the country.

This coincides with a protest in Habima Square in Tel Aviv, which was attended by about 300 demonstrators, marking the 25th anniversary of the assassination of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.

Among the demonstrators is a group carrying Armenian flags and protesting against the sale of Israeli weapons to Azerbaijan.

The demonstrators in Tel Aviv began marching in the city.

"Citizens go out to protest against the failed prime minister in the history of the State of Israel. Netanyahu's only achievements in recent years are the crushing of the economy and the upheaval of Israeli society," the black flags said.

"His horror speech today in the Knesset only further demonstrated how much Netanyahu is a danger to the future of the State of Israel with a strong and prosperous united society. We will continue until he leaves."

The "Komi Israel" youth movement said that "it is very unfortunate that while the people of Israel are taking to the streets in droves to fight for the lost hope, the man who stood 25 years ago on the terrace in Zion Square and continues his journey to crumble Israeli society."

The movement added that "no one believes in his lies and intimidation anymore. A man who obsessively incites against the citizens of Israel and drops them into the abyss due to his failed management, has ceased to interest the public. It is despair, we are hope."

Earlier today, about a hundred business owners and shops in south Tel Aviv protested on Jaffa Street in the city against the continued restrictions on trading activities as part of the fight against the corona virus.

The demonstrators demanded that the government allow them to operate their businesses under the purple mark.

The demonstrators set fire to tires and goods in several hotspots, blocked the Jaffa road to traffic and shouted "Bibi, wake up, we will not choose you anymore."

Police later announced that they had arrested a 58-year-old Kfar Saba resident on suspicion of bringing cartons and throwing them at the tires, in an attempt to cause the tires to continue to ignite.

The demonstration took place against the backdrop of discussions in the Corona Cabinet about the facilitation of trade and street shops.

Ministers are expected to reach a decision at another meeting tonight.

What are the demonstrations about?

The demonstrators are protesting against Netanyahu's continued tenure while being charged with crimes, claiming, among other things, that he cannot separate his personal and legal good from his political decisions.

The prime minister is charged with three counts.

In the

1000 case

(the benefit benefits case), Netanyahu is accused of receiving benefits worth about NIS 700,000 from businessmen Arnon Milchen and James Packer, while he served as prime minister.

The main gifts were cigars, champagne packages and jewelry.

In addition, it was alleged that Netanyahu acted in favor of Milchen in three matters, in which the businessman sought his intervention: he approached US Secretary of State John Kerry to extend the businessman's visa, he approached Finance Minister Yair Lapid to extend the exemption. A tax for returning residents, and he worked to promote a merger of "Keshet" and "Reshet" - ostensibly at Milchen's request.

According to the lawsuit, these acts damaged the public service's image and public trust in it.

The 2000 case

(the Netanyahu-Mozes affair) deals with talks between Netanyahu and Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Noni Mozes. In those talks, the two allegedly discussed the benefit of the prime minister's coverage of the Yedioth group, in exchange for imposing restrictions on the newspaper's main competitor - Israel Today. The person who proposed the deal was Mozes, so he is accused of bribery. On the other hand, the ombudsman was also convinced that Netanyahu did not intend to complete the bribe deal, but continued the talks with Mozes to improve his coverage in the Yedioth group, and even took certain actions.

The 4000 case

(Bezeq-Walla affair) The most serious case for the prime minister concerns regulatory benefits worth hundreds of millions of shekels, which Netanyahu allegedly granted to Elowitz.

In return, according to the indictment, Elovich acted to skew the coverage on the Walla!
