  • The cat food that was on it quickly turned out to be something completely different.

- Despite all the routine, this discovery was probably a surprise for the police officers: On Wednesday the officers found around 1,000 small cannabis plants in a car - disguised as cat food.

A 31-year-old driver and a 35-year-old co-driver were traveling together on the A8 in the direction of Munich when their Land Rover was stopped by veil investigators from the Kreuth border police station in the municipality of Weyarn.

According to the police, the two men said they had been abroad for a short vacation.

According to their identity cards, they live in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The officers found a travel bag, a box and two suitcases in the back seat of the car and in the trunk.

There the two men had packed several sacks disguised as cat food.

When unpacking, however, it became clear that it was not cat food, but around 1,000 seedlings for cannabis plants.

After the discovery, the men were temporarily arrested and the plants and the car were seized.

Shortly thereafter, however, the two were released again.

Investigations into violations of the Narcotics Act are ongoing.
