MTR Tsuen Wan Line Prince Edward to Mong Kok track cracked, services to Tsuen Wan direction resume normal

The MTR announced at 7:30 in the morning that due to cracks in the track between Mong Kok Station and Prince Edward Station, Tsuen Wan Line trains need to slow down when passing through the section from Mong Kok Station to Prince Edward Station. The travel time of the Tsuen Wan Line from Central Station to Tsuen Wan Station is estimated It takes an extra 3 to 5 minutes. According to the MTR, there are more passengers on the platform of the Tsuen Wan Line and the waiting time will be longer. Passengers are requested to allow sufficient time for the itinerary. MTR staff are now conducting emergency repairs. After inspection, the MTR maintenance staff confirmed that the road section can continue to drive safely and the speed can be increased slightly, which has a slight impact on the overall journey. At 8:30 am, services on the Tsuen Wan Line to Tsuen Wan gradually returned to normal.
