Panera fans, rejoice!
Fast casual chain of bakeries and coffee shops will add pizza to their menu.
Three pizza options will be available to Panera customers: Cheese, Margherita and Chipotle Chicken & Bacon, and will range in price from $ 8 to $ 9, depending on flavor.
"Our guests have been asking for this for years," Panera Bread Brand and Concept Director Eduardo Luz said in a press release.

The move comes as interest in quick casual breakfast wanes during the pandemic.
Before the pandemic, Panera had begun to focus on its dining business, which accounted for more than 30% of the company's sales, and the introduction of pizza is one more step in that direction.
Panera is counting on its new pizza to boost its sales for dinner.
While the nearly 35-year-old brand focuses on dinner time, other fast-casual chains are vying for a return to breakfast.
McDonald's, for example, introduced new cakes on Wednesday for the first time in a decade.

"As restaurant traffic in the industry shifts further and further towards the end of the day, Flatbread Pizzas allows Panera to compete more in time slots and appeal to off-premises consumer preferences," said the company in a press release.

It's been a busy month for new releases in the fast food world.
Dunkin 'added a spicy donut to its menu, Papa John's introduced a new cheeseburger pizza, Wendy's launched a new chicken sandwich, and Kentucky Fried Chicken launched a new sauce.
Panera has doubled its delivery business year-over-year and more than half of its sales run outside of stores.
