The corona measures are regularly checked by the police - several people in the Weilheim-Schongau district recently had to experience this painfully.

District -

Even days after the incident, Martin Hager can still be upset.

The coach of the Altenstadt B-Junior footballers had a confident 4-0 win over SG Apfeldorf with his team on Friday evening, after which they stood together.

"Because only two players are allowed to shower at the same time due to the hygiene concept, it all takes longer, of course," says Hager.

Suddenly the police showed up, which reads in the press report under the title “Victory Celebration in Corona Times”: “On Friday evening around 9.15 p.m. 14 people were found in front of the sports home in Altenstadt.

It was a matter of several members of the soccer team as well as friends and spectators celebrating the team's victory.

With the current incidence value, meetings of more than five people are prohibited by the Infection Protection Act "

Hager says he tried to speak sensibly to the police officers and explain the situation, but that was pointless - all 14 received a complaint for violating the corona restrictions.

Footballers still stand together after the game - the police check after information from the population

Toni Müller, Deputy Chief of the Schongau Police Department, says that his colleagues had no other choice.

“Of course we understand when a soccer team wants to celebrate their victory.

But with the current number of infections, it is difficult if 14 people stand close together for a long time without a mask because you can't turn a blind eye. ”It is precisely through such private gatherings that the virus is carried into families,“ that's why we have to punish something like this consistently ”.

Incidentally, the reference to the celebration had been reported, apparently a resident had complained about disturbing the peace, so Müller.

Weilheimerin is "extremely irritated by this police action"

Katharina Zöller would also have liked more tact.

The woman from Weilheim writes that her 20-year-old daughter and her boyfriend (28) were at the Weilheim train station on Sunday at around 5 p.m., both of them were waiting for the train to Schongau.

The 28-year-old had his mask in his jacket pocket when two police officers came and announced that he would soon have to get mail from the district office and pay 250 euros.

"I am extremely irritated and annoyed by this police action," writes Zöller.

"Isn't it customary to issue warnings in such a case?" Of course, the requirements that masks must be worn in the station area are clear.

But should the police not only intervene where, unlike outdoors, there is actually a high risk of infection, "namely with many people with too little distance in closed rooms?"

Corona rules disregarded: public order office sends fines

Both Zöller and Hager can at least hope for leniency.

Because the reports from the police go to the regulatory office in the district office, where the fines are sent.

“The person concerned will be heard beforehand, if the police have not yet done so,” explains Head of the Public Order Office, Helmut Stork.

95 percent of this is done in writing, but the persons concerned can also come by if they wish.

"Then we have to decide whether we should stick to the 250 euros in the fine, which is the rule in such cases, or ask for less or more," says Stork.

An objection can be lodged against the decision within 14 days, then weighed up again before the case goes to the public prosecutor's office.

But there are not very many offenses, so Stork - in the past four weeks, only twelve cases of violation of mouth and nose protection have been reported in the entire district, seven of them in local public transport (train station or train), five in shops.

Four of those affected had already received a fine of 250 euros during this period, "the others have not yet been decided," said Stork.

Corona rules: Bavaria-wide inspection day

Very recently he also got the cases from Friday on the table yesterday, the Bavaria-wide control day: While the Weilheim police could not provide any data, the Penzberg police reported seven cases - and Schongau the 14 people of the "victory celebration" from Altenstadt.

B-junior coach Hager is somewhat at a loss as to what he should do in the future to prevent something like this: "We will definitely take measures and reconsider our concept," he announces in frustration.
