Three people were killed in a knife attack on a church, Thursday, October 29 in Nice, whose author, a Tunisian recently in France, was arrested.
This attack comes less than two weeks after the beheading of a college teacher, Samuel Paty, by an Islamist assailant.

I strongly condemn the terrorist attack which took place near the Notre-Dame basilica in Nice.
As a sign of mourning and solidarity with the victims and their relatives, I call on the Muslims of France to cancel all the festivities of the Mawlid feast
, ”the CFCM said in a statement.
This feast is to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The CFCM also calls on Muslim officials to close their mosques until further notice.
