It doesn't often happen that rescue workers cannot find the place of action at all.

Particularly annoying - school children were injured during this mission.

  • A car rams a school bus in Kühbach.

  • When the rescuers finally arrive at the scene of the accident, the children are already gone.

  • They can only receive medical care in their schools.

Kühbach

- This Thursday (October 29

) nothing

seemed to be going right for the

police

or the

rescue workers

in

the Aichach district

(Swabia).

Just because of the message

"Accident with school bus"

, the helpers were probably electrified.

It is particularly annoying when you

simply cannot find

the

scene of

the

accident

.

It's even more annoying when the children who were actually

sitting

in the

school bus are

no longer there.

Kühbach: Drivers ramming school buses - helpers are looking in the wrong place

It was around 7.45 a.m. when a

school bus was

on its way to

Schrobenhausen

.

At the exit of

Kühbach

(Aichach-Friedberg district) it then crashed, writes the

Augsburger Allgemeine

(behind a payment barrier).

The

38-year-old bus driver

suddenly had to brake and stop between Postweg and Brunnenstrasse due to traffic.

A

20-year-old Opel Astra driver

overlooked that

and slammed into the rear of the bus.

The driver of a minibus

witnessed the accident

and immediately notified the

police

.

But what the officers didn't know, she was sent to the wrong place.

The caller sent the

police

and

rescue workers

to the nearby

B 300

.

But when the helpers arrived there was of

course no

sign of an

accident

.

They called the accident reporter again.

But it was only after some back and forth that the emergency services found the scene of the accident about 30 minutes later.

It was about one kilometer as the crow flies from its starting point on the

B 300

, said police spokesman Peter Löffler.

However, when we finally arrived at the scene, there was the next problem.

The

children

have already been taken

to their

schools

in

Schrobenhausen

in

a

replacement bus

.

Kühbach: Paramedics take care of the injured children at school

On site, the numerous rescuers found only the

slightly injured Opel driver

, who was taken to a hospital for further treatment.

The

bus driver then

explained to the helpers that the almost 50 children had been taken

to their schools in

another

bus

.

It was only then that it became clear that many of them were not doing as well as they initially seemed.

The

school administrators of

the three affected schools

then reported to the

police

and they sent around 40 paramedics to

Schrobenhausen

to take care of the children.

Result of the accident

:

four students

had to be taken to hospital.

23

slightly injured

children

were cared for in their schools.

The vehicles

suffered damage of around 10,000 euros

.

The

police

must now

clarify

why the students were taken away without waiting for the ambulance service

.

The situation was particularly bitter for the numerous helpers who

had gone out

to the

accident

.

Seven ambulances, six BRK emergency services, the

fire brigades

from Hörzhausen, Rettenbach, Peutenhausen, Gachenbach and Schrobenhausen and the

police

from Aichach and Schrobenhausen were condemned to inactivity.

“Everything went wrong that can go wrong,” said police spokesman Löffler at the end of the operation.
