The number of Coronavirus infections in the United States exceeded 9 million today.
Reuters quoted the American health authorities as saying that the number of infections increased by one million within two weeks, while the most affected country in the world faces a resurgence of the epidemic before the presidential elections.
Cases are increasing at a faster rate than ever before, and the previous record for one million new cases was during the outbreak of infection in July and August in the past 16 days, but now the country has recorded more than a million cases in 14 days, amid the absence of any indication of the slowing of the outbreak.
Yesterday, the United States set a new record for HIV infections, surpassing for the first time the threshold of 90,000 new infections.
