On October 13 last year, citizens launched a "18 districts blooming" demonstration. Two 12-year-old and 14-year-old female students and two men were involved in gathering in Tsuen Wan that same day. They were both charged with illegal assembly. Some of them were involved in masking and carrying lasers. Pen was also charged with violating the "Prohibition of Face Masking Law" and possession of offensive weapons in public places.

The case was brought to the West Kowloon Court today (30th). The defendant does not need to answer for the time being, and the trial will be postponed until December 23, pending the defense's request for documents.

Everyone was released on bail and the two minor defendants were required to observe a curfew.

The four defendants were 12 and 14-year-old female students, Wang Zhaohong (23 years old) and Chen Xihua (57 years old, electrical technician).

The four people were also charged with a crime of illegal assembly, alleging that they participated in an illegal assembly outside Nan Fung Center in Tsuen Wan on October 13 last year.

The first three defendants were also charged with one count of using masks when they were in an illegal assembly, alleging that they used masks and face towels.

Among them, the 14-year-old defendant was charged with one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, alleging that she was carrying a device that emits a laser beam.

The defendants were released on bail and were not allowed to leave Hong Kong during the period. They must report to the police station regularly. Two of the minor defendants were required to have a curfew.

Sales representatives accused of illegal assembly and use of masks

In addition, police and civilian clashes also occurred in Mong Kok on November 3 last year. The man Chen Guoliang (31 years old, sales representative) was charged with two crimes of illegal assembly and using masked objects when he was in an illegal assembly. He was accused of being on Nathan Road in Mong Kok that day. Participated in an illegal assembly near Argyle Street and used a mask.

He does not need to reply for the time being, and the case is adjourned until December 11, pending the defense to obtain documents.

The defendant was released on bail of 5,000 yuan and was forbidden to leave Hong Kong or set foot in the area where the crime occurred. He was also required to observe a curfew and report to the police station regularly.
