The Minister of the Economy wanted to be reassuring this Friday vis-à-vis businesses, remaining very cautious.
"
In 15 days, bookstores and all businesses could reopen, we will assess the situation,
" said the Minister of the Economy on France Inter.
"
I understand the feeling of injustice of small businesses that can no longer sell while the French can buy on Amazon,
" concedes Bruno Le Maire.
He says, however, that he cannot prohibit the American giant from ceasing its activity.
In the meantime, the tenant of Bercy is appealing to the French: "
I want to tell them to buy books, products ... from local shops via click and collect systems
", recommends Bruno Le Maire.
To support small businesses in France, Bruno Le Maire believes that “it is
necessary to accelerate the digitization of businesses, we are going to accelerate the digital transformations of small businesses
”, indicates the minister who affirms that today only one in three businesses has a website.
On the booksellers,
"we will see if it is possible to reopen them",
he indicates.
During the first confinement, the minister had asked that bookstores remain open but the latter would have replied that it was not possible.
