They each have a name and tell a different story as they pace the dial of a watch without ever stopping, or almost.
Whether alone, two or three, or even more if you feel like wearing a chronograph or an elegant complication, the hands are the soul of time.

Impossible to list them all, but even to spell out their name amounts to going back in time: they are said to be dauphines, when they present a tapered triangle;
sticks when they play it sober, as at Hermès;
leaves when they recall one;
cathedrals when their shape evokes that of a stained glass window;
