Two people killed by fire in Lijing Village, female head of household charged with attempted murder, waiting for news

A fire broke out in Lijing Village in the early morning of the day before yesterday. Many people were injured, 2 of whom were in critical condition. The 43-year-old female resident suspected of arson in the house was arrested afterwards and charged with attempted murder. She was sent to the West Kowloon Court today (30th).

A fire broke out in Lijing Village in the early morning of the day before yesterday. Many people were injured, 2 of whom were in critical condition.

The 43-year-old female resident suspected of arson in the house was arrested afterwards and charged with attempted murder. She was sent to the West Kowloon Court today (30th) and no reply is required for the time being.

The magistrate adjourned the case until December 29, pending further investigation by the police, during which the defendant was returned.

The defendant Liao Xuexia (43 years old, hospital assistant) was charged with attempting to murder the man Yang Yaowei (transliteration) in a unit at Yangjing Building, Lijing Village, on the 28th of this month.
