Rallies following the death of a black man killed by police escalated into looting on Wednesday, leading to arrests.

Several videos shot earlier this week by local media filmed a Walmart hypermarket being robbed in the north city of Philadelphia.

As it had already done this summer during the demonstrations which followed the death of George Floyd, an African American killed by the police, the group then decided to place in secure places the firearms and ammunition sold in approximately half of its stores.

"

The incidents having remained geographically isolated, we made the decision to start putting the products back on the shelves,

" the sign said in a message on Friday.

This decision comes a few days before the presidential election in the United States on November 3.
