Former Lebanese Minister Tariq Al-Khatib, Deputy Chairman of the Free Patriotic Movement, stressed the importance of developing and strengthening relations between Syria and Lebanon for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
Al-Khatib said in a special statement to SANA that the main goal of the illegal Turkish and American occupations in Syria is to weaken the state of resistance and resistance towards the Zionist entity, noting that the allegations that the occupation always tries to market for economic control are aimed at weakening the Syrian state.
Al-Khatib added that Syria is a truly sovereign state, and its decision is independent.
