Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused the Azerbaijani authorities of violating the agreement reached yesterday in Geneva, according to which the targeting of civilians and non-military sites in the conflict zone in the Nagorno Karabakh region is prohibited.

Russia Today quoted Pashinyan as saying on Twitter today, “Despite the agreement reached not to bomb civilians and civilian infrastructure, Azerbaijan has resumed bombing the cities of Shusha and Stepanakert since early morning, considering that“ the Azerbaijani leadership is unable to fulfill its obligations. ”

For its part, the emergency authority in the Karabakh region confirmed that the cities of Stepanakert, Martoni, Martakert and Shushi were attacked by an Azerbaijani missile today.

The Armenian Commissioner for Human Rights, Arman Tatoyan, accused the Azerbaijani armed forces yesterday of "using phosphorous weapons against the surrounding environment and the civilian population in the Karabakh region."

Meanwhile, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced in an interview with the German ARD channel that five areas surrounding the Karabakh region "have come under the control" of his country's army.

In turn, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office announced in a statement that “the number of civilian casualties in Azerbaijan due to Armenian attacks has increased since the escalation in Karabakh region to 91 dead,” indicating that 97 buildings, 2,465 private homes and 455 other civilian facilities were damaged by Armenian artillery and missile strikes.

It is noteworthy that armed clashes have erupted between the Armenian and Azerbaijani forces since the 27th of last September on the line of contact in Nagorny Karabakh and adjacent areas in the most dangerous escalation between the two parties in nearly three decades, amid mutual accusations of starting the fighting.
