After dozens of Golan residents took part in the abduction of the body of Abu Zain al-Din Hassan Halabi, who died of corona disease from Ziv Hospital in Safed, thousands participate in the ceremony. • The locality is defined as "red" and is under closure after a sharp increase in positive tests in recent weeks.

Funeral in violation of instructions:

Thousands of people attended the funeral ceremony this morning (Saturday) of Sheikh Abu Zain Aladdin Hassan Halabi, a religious leader from Majdal Shams.

This is a serious incident as the locality is under closure after a severe outbreak of the corona plague in its territory and the entire locality has been defined by the Ministry of Health as a red locality.

Last night, dozens of men abducted the sheikh's body from Ziv Hospital in Safed.

The Druze, all residents of Majdal Shams, confronted the hospital security guards and police officers who were at the scene of the incident and left the hospital with the body of the sheikh, who died yesterday from corona disease, in their hands.

After the abduction of the body, she was brought to the settlement of Asher in the Golan.

MK 'Adir Kamel Marih, a member of the Druze community, commented on the social network Twitter and wrote: "I strongly condemn the incident that took place at Ziv Hospital in Safed in the last hour. This behavior does not befit the high status of the late esteemed Sheikh. We must all be heard And act in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. "

Criticism of the conduct of the police

At Ziv Hospital in Safed, the police were severely criticized for being helpless in the serious incident during which dozens of Druze broke into the morgue and abducted the body of senior Sheikh Hassan Halabi from Majdal Shams.

"Dozens of enthusiastic Druze began to break in with only the security guard and the KVT facing them.

"On the other side, three policemen stood to the side and watched what was happening without doing anything," said a hospital source. "They broke all the iron deficiencies, smashed the security guards' position, went down to the basement, broke into the morgue and snatched the sheikh's body from the refrigerator."

The event started yesterday around 12:00 noon.

Ziv Hospital then received a report that a 76-year-old man from the Golan Heights was verified in Corona, was rushed to the medical center in a very serious condition while being anesthetized and resuscitated and during resuscitation operations.

Shortly afterwards, it became clear that the deceased was Sheikh Hassan Halabi, who is considered one of the most popular sheikhs of the Druze community in Israel.

It was also learned that the Druze in the Golan Heights intend to place his body on the football field in Majdal Shams from Friday evening until today (Saturday) at noon in order to allow the masses to pass by his body and pay his last respects.

The hospital says that the information was passed on to the Magen Israel Projector, Prof. Roni Gamzo, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health Itamar Grotto, who strongly opposed placing the body on the football field in order to prevent a crowd from gathering. The director of the medical center, Prof. Salman Zarka, a Druze himself, spoke The explosive with the leader of the Druze community in Israel, Sheikh Moafek Tarif. At the end of the conversation, the sheikh decided to refrain from implementing the plan in an attempt to calm the winds.

Despite this, in the evening information was received at the hospital that dozens of enthusiastic Druze are planning to go to the hospital to protest the decision. The hospital says that upon receiving the information, a message was given to the police and it sent a force to secure the place, Managed to prevent the riot of dozens of enthusiastic protesters and those who broke into the building entered the morgue and snatched the body from the refrigerator.

Police claim that the force sent to the scene negotiated with the protesting Druze and managed to reach an agreement with them and disperse them from the place.

It was also reported at one point that the force received a message that dozens of sheikhs had arrived at the basement, but when they went down to the basement, they saw four people from the medical staff handing over the body to the Druze.

This, it was alleged, caused confusion that the transfer of the body was done with permission.

Ziv Medical Center spokeswoman Eli Sabti said: "The images from the security cameras speak for themselves. The security guards at Ziv Medical Center are the only ones who tried to prevent the violent outbreak into the building, while the police officers are seen standing and watching the incident and doing nothing, as if it were a movie. "To say that the body was given with consent is the false cover version of those who are trying to cover up the stagnation of the police on the spot."
