Portugal will be subject from Wednesday to a new partial confinement, which will affect around 70% of its population, in order to stem the coronavirus epidemic, Prime Minister Antonio Costa announced this Saturday, October 31.

"The moment has arrived when it is necessary to take more restrictive measures (...) to control this pandemic"
, declared the head of the socialist government at the end of an extraordinary council of ministers devoted to the health crisis.
