Damascus Cables produces 28.6 billion and profits 9.5 billion in 9 months

The General Company for Cable Industry in Damascus recorded new figures in the quantities and values ​​of its production, sales and profits during the first nine months of this year, according to what the company's production and marketing report showed.

The report, which SANA obtained a copy of, indicated that the company achieved a production volume of 3,489 tons of various cables, whose value amounted to 28.655 billion pounds, and an implementation value of 189 percent of the production plan for the same period of 15.127 billion pounds.

The company's sales from the beginning of the year until the end of the ninth month amounted to 3,428 tons of cables valued at 26.087 billion pounds, with a registered implementation rate of about 172 percent of the marketing plan of 15.127 billion pounds.

The general manager of the company, Eng. Abdul Qadir Al-Qaddour, explained in a statement to the representative of SANA that this surplus amount of production is sold and under delivery, noting that all products produced by the company are sold directly, estimating the profits until last September at 9.526 billion pounds.

Al-Qaddour pointed out that the company continues to supply the local market with its products of various types and to meet the needs of private and public entities, which implement for its benefit many contracts of various types of cables, from which 1235 different sections are produced within 81 types of bare nodes of copper, aluminum and steel for the transmission of low and high tension and cables Copper or aluminum electrical insulated with single core plastic for low tension and copper electrical cables insulated with industrial rubber for special uses.

The company includes 184 ready-made machines above the middle, and it seeks to secure all production requirements, maintenance of machines and develop them to achieve the best results according to the capacity, which pointed to the need for an expert technical workforce in the field of repairing modern machines that depend on automatic control and software in addition to modernizing some machines working on production lines. He pointed out that the company's endeavors to develop production capabilities and expand them to include manufacturing all types of low-tension cables with the latest specifications by installing a line of medium-tension insulated cables to dispense with their import with the expansion and development of the project to produce high-tension cables through the purchase and operation of a new line in addition to the establishment of the plastic granule plant. It provides production requirements, reduces its costs, creates two smelting plants and produces aluminum and copper rods, instead of importing them, and revives the optical cable industry project in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications.
