Accused of circumvention of incapacity, for having celebrated the marriage of a 93-year-old man dying to a 72-year-old woman, a priest faces a sentence of 16 months.

This is what the prosecutor Gabriella Dotto asked for Don Pietro Franco, parish priest of Boccadasse in Genoa.

The prosecutor asked for a four-year sentence for the bride, Gabriella Radaelli and 20 months for the woman's son and 16 months for his girlfriend, witnesses of the marriage.

The unsuspecting husband was Carlo Gian Battista Bianchi Albrici, a Milanese entrepreneur who moved to Genoa with a millionaire inheritance.

According to the prosecution, the union was celebrated at night in a stealthy way.

Thus the seventy-year-old would become heir to the entrepreneur's empire.

The alleged scam was discovered by Bianchi Albrici's son, who challenged the will and denounced the woman.

The priest claimed to have married a couple in love.

But according to the judge who sent him to trial with the witnesses, there would be no shadow of love.

The facts date back to 2014. (ANSA).
