The National Fund for Social Aid announced that those demobilized from compulsory and reserve military service who were unable to register in the second phase to benefit from the program of support and empowerment of laid-offs can apply for registration during the period from 1 to 20 November 2020.

In a statement to SANA, the Director General of the Fund, Eng. Luay Al-Aranji, explained that registration to benefit from the second phase of the program to support and empower the demobilized during the specified period will be in the fund’s branches and centers spread throughout the governorates, indicating that it accepts requests for objections from the demobilized whose applications for registration in the program in its second phase were not accepted during the period. The documents required for registration according to the fund’s announcement include a non-working document, a non-insured document, a copy of the personal identity card, the military service book and the service document.

On October 20, 2020, the National Fund for Social Aid announced the names of those discharged from the compulsory and reserve military service who were admitted to benefit from the second phase of the support and empowerment program for laid-offs, and their number reached 29,105 out of the total number of applicants of 31,639 theaters.

The program of support and empowerment of laid-offs includes providing cash for a period of 12 months at a value of 35,000 Syrian pounds per month that stops when the theater gets a job in the public sector, whether as a permanent worker or under an annual contract, in addition to holding free vocational training courses to raise the capabilities and skills of the beneficiaries and facilitate their access to the labor market in the two sectors Public and private loans or granting subsidized or interest-free loans to establish small enterprises.
