The United States recorded more than 94,000 new infections with the emerging coronavirus during the past 24 hours, the highest daily number since the start of the pandemic, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University of America.
The university explained in its latest data that the country that has witnessed an escalation in the number of Corona infections since mid-October last night counted 94,125 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of infections in the United States, which is considered the most affected in the world by the epidemic, the threshold of 9 million.
Days before the presidential elections, the United States also recorded 919 additional deaths with Covid 19, bringing the total to 229,544 deaths.
The countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, which have the largest number of corona infections in the world, have recorded a threshold of 400,000 deaths due to the virus, according to a statistics prepared by Agence France-Presse.
The number of deaths due to Covid 19 in Latin America and the Caribbean reached 400,524 deaths, as Brazil topped the list of the most affected countries, with a total of 159,477 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
