Denklinen - An 18-year-old motorcyclist from the Altlandkreis Schongau lost his life in a terrible traffic accident on Saturday.
He had collided with an oncoming biker near Denklingen.
As the police report, the 18-year-old was on his light motorcycle around 4.40 p.m. near Denklingen on the 2014 state road in the direction of Sachsenried.
In a right-hand bend, his machine got into the opposite lane and there collided with the oncoming motorcycle of a 30-year-old merchant.
The young man from the Altlandkreis Schongau succumbed to his serious injuries at the scene of the accident.
The seriously injured from Kaufbeuren was flown by rescue helicopter to the Kaufbeuren Clinic.
The Augsburg public prosecutor ordered an expert opinion to clarify the course of the accident.
The state road was therefore closed to traffic for about five hours.
The road maintenance department set up a local diversion.
The Bidingen fire brigade was deployed with one vehicle and six men.
There were also two emergency doctors, two ambulances, a first responder, an ambulance helicopter and four patrols from the surrounding police stations.
