An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale hit central Costa Rica yesterday evening, without any casualties or damage reported.
According to Agence France-Presse, the epicenter was located in the town of Tebas, north of the capital, San Jose, at a depth of 77 kilometers, which explains the absence of damage in one of the most densely populated areas in the country.
