An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale today struck the Turkish province of Eden on the Aegean Sea.
Turkish media quoted the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority "Afad" as saying that the quake occurred off the Gulf of Kusadasi, western Turkey, and was at a depth of seven kilometers from the sea level.
This tremor comes 48 hours after the earthquake that struck Izmir last Friday, with a magnitude of 6.9 magnitude, killing 62 people.
