Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that there are new "conclusive evidence" that the Turkish regime has recruited and transferred mercenaries from Syria to Azerbaijan.
The Prime Minister published on his Facebook page today a video clip showing a mercenary who was arrested by the units of the Karabakh region army.
"Now there is complete and comprehensive evidence for the recruitment of thousands of mercenaries in Syria and their transfer from Turkey to Azerbaijan to participate in the battles in the Karabakh region," Pashinyan said, explaining that "the materials indicate the existence of an international criminal network, and disclosure cannot continue without consequences."
And media reports confirmed that the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's regime sent hundreds of mercenaries from Syria to participate in the battles in the Karabakh region.
To that, the Russian Ambassador to Ankara Alexei Yerkhov stressed that at the present time everyone must refrain from steps that may lead to further escalation of the conflict in Nagorny Karabakh.
The Russian diplomat told reporters today, "We must take into account the main thing, which is that there are battles that kill people, so if anyone has now the slightest chance to influence the course of events and to make any contribution to achieving a real ceasefire, it should be used, and of course everyone should now." Refrain from taking any steps that would add fuel to the flames of this conflict.
Yerkhov referred to the role the Turkish regime plays in the conflict in the Karabakh region by sending mercenaries and terrorists from Syria to there, and said, “I personally saw videos showing captured militants giving important testimonies, while reports confirmed the widespread participation of militants in the Karabakh conflict, and even the killing of more than two hundred Them yet ”.
Yerkhov pointed out that Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov and other Russian officials said earlier that the presence of militants in the conflict zone these days is a great danger and calls for Russia's deep concern.
