The activities of the monthly shopping festival “Made in Syria” in its 106th session, held by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, with the participation of more than 100 national industrial companies, kicked off in the gymnasium in Tartous this evening.

The participating companies offer many industrial food products, detergents, clothes, shoes, and stationery at competitive prices and discounts on all materials.

The head of the festival's organizing committee, Talal Qalaji, confirmed in a statement to SANA that the aim of the festival, which will last until the eighth of this month, is to provide goods from the producer to the consumer, noting the keenness of the owners of companies, factories and industrialists to sell the product at cost and promote new goods.

In turn, Muhammad Al-Omar, the supervisor of the "Made in Syria" team, stated in a similar statement that the festival aims to reduce the burdens on citizens in light of high prices, break the cycle of wholesalers and retailers, and promote national products, pointing out that the festival continues to provide purchasing vouchers to the families of martyrs.

Youssef Hassan, Director of the Syrian Branch of Trade in Tartous, explained that its special wing is keen to find a special imprint for it in the festival and to provide a wide range of materials, food commodities, stationery, clothes and detergents, stressing that the prices are based on the principle of positive intervention and securing materials at a price 10 to 30 percent below the market.

Yunus Muhammad from Damascus explained that he will participate in the festival by offering shoes at a price that is about 30 percent below the market, while engineer Khaled offers the transportation of local food products such as olives, al-Makdous and jams, while Radwan Kanj, a representative of a detergents company coming from Damascus, stated that the company has been providing since the first day of the festival its products with a discount of up to 35 percent.

Alaa El-Din Habbal, a representative of a food company from Damascus countryside, indicated that discounts and offers were made on the company's healthy food products for children and students, while a representative of one of the commercial companies, Temara Al-Saadi, pointed out that the company offers various types of mate and hot powders at the wholesale price and at a 7 percent discount.

A number of festival visitors confirmed that they are keen to buy their needs from it as an opportunity to buy various commodities at competitive prices, as Dima Ali said, while Muhammad Muhammad found that the great turnout since the first day is evidence of the festival's success and the citizens ’satisfaction with the prices and offers it offers, while Ola Saleh considered that The festival is a good move and the prices are affordable for everyone.

Abeer Droubi explained that the festival is distinguished by its remarkable arrangement, coordination and organization, and good reception from the owners of the participating companies, while Rabih Ibrahim saw that the festival encourages citizens to buy their basic needs at reasonable prices in light of the economic blockade imposed on the Syrian people and the high prices.
