On Monday this week, the "Connecting to You" project of Mifal Hapayis and "Israel Today" was launched, with a performance by Moshe Lahav ("The Big Tish").

More than 33,000 surfers from Israel and abroad connected to the live broadcast on the Facebook page of "Israel Today" to enjoy an hour and a half of songs from the Land of Israel and what surrounds them.

Special: "The Big Tish", Moshe Lahav - comes to you for a show at home!

"I flicker from time to time with the Israeli song show of 'The Big Tish' also on the Internet, because I know that the songs release and create an uplifting atmosphere for the viewer and for me," Lahav said after the show, "with some friends we put on a show that swept us all, From this drift he reached the viewers at home. "

Lahav was joined during the broadcast by singer Racheli Horowitz and Assaf Eshter, who contributed his added value with explanations of the lyrics behind the songs.

The surfers, for their part, reacted during the show, told about the feeling of togetherness that was created, asked for songs they liked and enjoyed getting out of the routine.

Many of them wrote that watching the show was for them a time-out so necessary these days, bringing them back to the beautiful period when all the songs were written.

Rachel Avraham wrote in response to the show's broadcast: "Thank you very much for the wonderful nostalgia, it was fun to get away from the hustle and bustle a bit."

Jacob Mitch responded during the broadcast: "We are very much enjoying, your contribution is important for raising morale especially these days - align strength."

Hannah Levy shared that the songs "take us back to the old days and to memories," while surfer Betty Wasserman was happy that "we finally get some culture, to rejoice and enjoy."

The "Connecting to You" project is the result of a collaboration between Mifal Hapayis, "Israel Today" and "Motke" - the largest social network in Israel for those aged 50 and over.

Its purpose, among other things, is to provide social activities for senior citizens so that no one feels lonely - especially during this period of the Corona crisis.

The shows, workshops and lectures that will be delivered in Zoom as part of "Connecting to You" are just some of the many ways in which the Lottery seeks to reach every senior citizen in the country.

Mifal Hapayis CEO, Adv. Bnei Dreyfus: "We are proud to lead a series of projects with a lot of thinking outside the box, the whole essence of which is to alleviate loneliness among senior citizens in Israel. The response to the first activity, with Moshe Lahav's song performance, was amazing, and I Rest assured that you will get stronger as we progress.

"It was simply uplifting to watch seniors enjoy a show pre-arranged especially for them, and their excited reactions were accordingly. We will continue to invest a lot of thought and resources for the senior citizens of Israel."

This coming Monday, a musical lecture will be held as part of "Connecting with You" - "A Thousand Kisses" - following stories and love songs.

Talia Dvir, a guide and lecturer, who will lead the activity with her partner, says: "The lecture is part of a project I do throughout the Corona period - 'In the land I loved', a celebration of content and sound. It is a musical lecture through the zoom. I wanted to give retirees a chance to enjoy From this content, because it's impossible to go on tours, my partner, Leonel Weinbuch, is a side flute player and accompanies me.

"Our lectures are for all age groups. We met in a community of music lovers who still meet today to play and sing together, with restrictions, of course. He is a new immigrant from Argentina who joined the community as soon as he immigrated. I give the tours for years, and after we met he joined me playing. .

"The lecture is called 'A Thousand Kisses' because it follows love songs and the Land of Israel. The theme song, for example, tells the love story between Avshalom Feinberg and Rebecca Aaronson, and I tell about it. On weekdays we have tours of different places in the country, following the songs. For example, a tour "Playing in Jaffa following love with all the songs like Casablanca, this is Jaffa, a ballad for Azoulay policeman - songs related to love stories. We are currently delivering the lectures to zoom or people's private yards, but we are very much looking forward to returning to tours around the country."
