The group held a public forum today (1st) at the Mong Kok Community Hall. Many organizations have stated that the unemployment rate in Hong Kong is high, but the rents for subdivided houses are still expensive, and the bargaining power of landlords and tenants is not equal. They face rent increases, forced evictions, and overcharge of utility bills.
They urged that when the group meets, members can declare property ownership to avoid conflicts of interest, and join the representative of the tenants of the subdivided housing so that the group can understand the situation and needs of the tenants.

The group also submitted a petition letter to the "Sub-House Rent Control Research Working Group", and the group leader Liang Yongxiang received the letter as a representative.
