receives hundreds of residents every day who come to take a walk, exercise or enjoy time outdoors.
Virtually all of them manage to go unnoticed.
But one person manages to stand out from the rest and get all the attention.
It is about
Santiago Pellegrini
, a 27-year-old young man who draws attention for his particular way of dressing.
Is that in the middle of 2020, the nicknamed
"Dandy Millennial"
wears pants, vest, jacket, hat, cane and even a pocket watch.
And all those pieces are original from the late nineteenth century.
The fascination for this character was not only noticed in the streets, but also had an impact on social networks: last week, the images of his outfits reached thousands of “likes” from incredulous users who questioned whether Pellegrini was actually wearing this outfit daily.
The neighbor of the Florida town assures:
"I dress in clothes that go from 1880 to 1930 every day, without exception

Although since he was five years old he has been attracted to the style of the time, it was not until he was 15 that he dressed in this way for the first time.
“I started with a lamb jacket and a hat that I had been given as a teenager.
I felt very good looking at myself in the mirror because I had always loved the elegance and quality of 1900 garments. I studied fashion a lot so as not to fall into basic mistakes and, 10 years ago, I made the decision to dress like this every day ”, she confesses .

"When I go along the coastal road, some get excited or ask me for photos," he says.
His years of research are evident when hearing the description he makes about his garments, most of them acquired at
American fairs
.
“I select my clothes according to the weather.
Heat is not a problem because older garments lack polyester and are much cooler.
I can go out with a jacket on a 30-degree day, ”he explains.
And he lists: “I really like to wear accessories like a starched stiff collar, detachable cufflinks with cufflinks and a pocket square.
In case of having a special occasion, I choose a morning coat, tailcoat or tuxedo to get out of the everyday ”.
The Dandy Millennial - as he calls himself on the networks - is a prominent personality in the neighborhood.
"The neighbors already know me and
give me old clothes that they have from their ancestors,
" says Pellegrini, who also gained fame in the North zone years ago when he ran an antiques stand at the Barrancas del Tren de la Costa Station.
And although many people stop him on the street to ask for photos or even get emotional because he reminds them of their grandparents, he also meets many others who make fun of him.

“When I go out to ride my bike along the coastal road, some laugh and feel affected.
More than once they insulted me or attacked me.
I think they do it out of envy, because they lack the courage to dress as they want.

and ask them why they make fun of me ”, recognizes Santiago.

"I go out with a jacket on hot days," he says.
However, he admits that the treatment on the networks is different.
When he is relaxed at home - where he maintains his style wearing a shirt, pants and braces - he is in charge of preparing videos that immediately go viral on Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok.
“I share tips on care of the garments, but I also join the challenges of choreography by giving them my touch.
The comments are very good and my followers support me.
Although sometimes I have some 'haters' who turn their anger through the messages ”.
