Two days before the US presidential election, President Donald Trump tonight (Sunday) is conducting a lightning campaign in the swing countries, in order to fend off his Democratic opponent and former vice president Joe Biden.

Trump, who is lagging behind Biden in the polls, is holding rallies tonight in five different states: Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

This is while the former vice president is holding a rally in Pennsylvania, the state where he was born.

According to reports on the Axios website, Trump has told his associates that he will announce victory on election night before final results are obtained - if he sees that he is leading.

Trump arrived in Washington, D.C., in the midst of particularly snowy and stormy weather, wearing his familiar red hat, with the caption "Make America Great Again."

The audience greeted him with shouts of "We love you."

Trump responded that his arrival in the country in the "freezing" weather is proof that he loves them too.

"It's worth it," he said.

Speaking in Michigan, he claimed that Biden was a corrupt politician who destroyed the state's economy.

"The economy under my leadership is growing at the fastest rate ever recorded - 33.1%," Trump said, attacking his rival and Democratic nominee for vice president, Kamala Harris.

"The damage they will do will last for many generations. It will not be easy to repair it."

Biden, for his part, attacked the president's decisions regarding the issue of separating immigrant children from their parents at the United States border, accusing him of "horrific acts."

He said Trump has repeatedly harmed Latin families.

"It will end when I become president," he tweeted in Spanish.

At the same time, Biden once again came out against Trump for his handling of the corona plague.

"We need a president who believes in science, and listens to others," he tweeted on his Twitter account.

"More than 230,000 Americans have died from corona, and Trump has given up trying to bring the plague under control. He may have given up on you, but I promise I will never do that."

He added that "the Trump administration knew how deadly this virus was as early as February. But they said nothing. Instead, they warned their friends on Wall Street so investors could make a profit before the recession hit. They hid the truth. It's unforgivable."

A New York Times poll shows that Biden has a clear advantage over Trump in four swing states: Florida, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Wisconsin.

His biggest advantage is in Wisconsin - 11%, or 52% compared to 41% who support Trump.

In Florida, the biggest prize of the four, Biden's advantage is small, of 3% - 47% versus 44%.

In Arizona and Pennsylvania he leads 6% over the Republican president, who does not exceed 44% support in any of the four states.

According to the numbers, Biden is in the best position before Election Day than any other candidate since at least 2008, when, at the height of the global financial crisis, Barack Obama won 365 electors, with Biden as his deputy.

Trump seems to be in a harder position to get 270, even more than in 2016.

He needs a big turnaround or systematic mistakes in polls, more severe than four years ago.

If Biden manages to win in three of the four countries in the poll, he will almost certainly win.

If he wins in Florida, he will likely have to take just one big state that Trump won in 2016 to land in the White House.

Biden maintained an advantage over Trump throughout the New York Times polls during the campaign, and the margin for last-minute changes is shrinking thanks to early voting rates, which soared due to the caravan epidemic.

More than 93 million people have already voted in the mail or at the polls that opened before November 3 - about 68% of all votes in the 2016 election. Trump has never led in any of the countries that are expected to win the race.

He is also lagging behind in polls in Michigan, one of the four states where Trump narrowly defeated Hillary Clinton.
