Corona measures have recently been tightened in Germany.

In China, the country of origin of the virus, the numbers have been at a low level for weeks.

Why is that?

  • In Germany, the corona numbers are increasing day by day.

  • For a few days, stricter rules for dealing with the virus have been in effect again.

  • In China, however, the number of cases is consistently low.

Beijing - It was the most recently heard expression by German politicians.

Regardless of whether Angela Merkel or Markus Söder - there was always talk of the

“second wave”

.

The numbers are increasing not only in Germany, but almost everywhere in the world.

In Italy, for example, the death rate is skyrocketing again, and the government is planning a massive tightening of

corona

measures.

One country that has been shining with consistently low numbers for weeks is

China

.

But why is there (supposedly) no

“second wave” in

China?

China

is strictly fighting the

virus

, as the

Tagesschau

reports: Test immediately, do not wait for people to show symptoms, strictly isolate infected and sick people.

With this three-way formula, the

Chinese

manage

to keep

the

corona

numbers at a low level.

According to the World Health Organization, there are

currently almost 92,000 confirmed cases known

in

China

(as of November 2nd).

For comparison: at the beginning of March the number was almost 80,000.

In other words: within nine months there were “only” 10,000 new confirmed

corona

cases in the Middle Kingdom.

We can all help to slow down the spread of the #Coronavirus: By reducing social contacts & carefully observing the #AHA formula.

China: How the Middle Kingdom Avoids a Second Corona Wave

Strict entry restrictions with a strict two-week quarantine still apply in the country.

The big stress test just took place at the beginning of October.

On the occasion of the national holiday - the founding of the People's Republic - the

Chinese got

eight days off.

Eight days in which an average of more than 60 million travelers are said to have been on the road.

As the

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung

reports, there were no new, larger

corona

outbreaks.

Only in the coastal city of Qingdao were there 13 new

corona

infected people.

As is customary in

China

, the entire city, more than ten million people, was

tested

for

Covid-19

within a few days

.

In the authoritarian ruled People's Republic, the authorities have much greater control and intervention options compared to Western democracies, as the

Tagesschau

writes.

Corona

apps that create a precise movement profile or the scanning of a QR code to register when entering restaurants or shops would be inconceivable in this country.

Does China have the corona crisis under control?

The "transparent citizen" as an aid

Another point that

helps

the

Chinese

fight the

virus

: The test capacities have been significantly expanded since spring.

Should there be a local

coronavirus

outbreak

found, up to 30,000

tests

could be

performed a day.

When there were positive cases in the port city of Qingdao, eleven million people were tested within a few days.

In Germany, for comparison, 1.35 million

tests were

carried out

in the week from October 19 to 25, according to the RKI

.

Another crucial point is helping

China

cope with the current

pandemic

.

The population has already been confronted with viruses such as SARS or bird flu in the past.

You know how important it is to protect yourself.

State measures to protect the population are usually not called into question.

Second wave

?

Currently (officially) not an issue with the

Chinese

.
