The news hit the national basketball scene hard and especially in Córdoba.

Osvaldo Arduh, coach of Athens, the most popular club in that sport in the province, died this Monday at the age of 54, after having suffered a lung complication after contracting coronavirus.

Arduh was admitted to intensive care due to complications in his health, in a province that is one of the epicenters of Covid-19 cases throughout the country.

Before the news was officially known, Nicolás Arduh, the coach's son, left a message on his Twitter account in which he recounted his pain: "I love you forever," he said.
