Yesterday (Sunday), the police carried out extensive enforcement activity to locate drugs in Tel Sheva, as part of a routine activity conducted in the Negev region.

During an inspection of a certain compound, the police suddenly noticed cast concrete on the ground.

They asked the owners of the place to explain the matter, and when they did not receive an answer, they called the place to special forces with quarrying equipment.

After a few hours they managed to break the concrete and put in, as seen in the video, a policeman.

A long tunnel, about 60 meters long, was discovered inside.

According to police, it was built "according to the book," and its entire purpose is to grow cannabis away from police officers.

The huge tunnel was controversial for a number of growing complexes.

It houses the most sophisticated equipment for growing cannabis in underground conditions, including gardening equipment, incubators, flower pots, planters, air conditioners, a sophisticated and automatic fertilization system and ventilation openings.

The tunnel, it was reported, was professionally lined, and was about two meters high - in order to allow free movement of workers in the greenhouse.

The forces that were at the site removed about 900 cannabis seedlings at various stages of growth.

"This is an incredible volume of production," a police officer told Israel Today.

Following the discovery of the tunnel, two suspects were arrested.

One of them linked himself to the offenses attributed to him.

The Border Police and the Negev police station are working to thwart drug smuggling, especially against the phenomenon of cannabis incubators, which Bedouin gangs set up mainly in IDF fire areas in the Tze'elim area.
