In Lansing, on October 27, the administrative capital of this key Great Lakes state, the President of the United States began by criticizing the
"disaster"
of the precautionary measures taken by Whitmer in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, among the most draconian from the country.
These measures had led a small group of armed extremists, baptized the "Wolverine Watchmen", to plot the kidnapping of the democratic councilor accused of having exceeded his executive powers.
They were arrested just in time by the FBI, which had two informants within the terrorist cell.
Since then, Donald Trump has not expressed the slightest compassion towards Whitmer, insisting on the contrary on the unfairness of his health policy and minimizing the latent threat against her:
