Why has the United States Government acted in a way that has left more than 200,000 dead among the citizens of the country?

, the Imperial Japanese Army, or any other enemy on the battlefield.
Every few days, we suffer the equivalent of September 11.
This time, however, some Americans have made (or stopped making) decisions that have killed a shocking number of other Americans.
Like famines, plagues are political.
