Dozens of Palestinians participated in the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank in a protest against the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation against Palestinian prisoners and his refusal to release the prisoner Maher Al-Akhras who has been on hunger strike for 100 consecutive days.
Wafa agency stated that the participants in the stand called by the Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoner Club in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Al-Bireh raised Palestinian flags and pictures of the mute prisoner, the hunger striking prisoners and the sick, calling on the international community to put pressure on the occupation authorities to release the mute prisoner and all the prisoners.
The participants called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to intervene to save the prisoners from infection with the spread of the Coronavirus, after dozens of infections were recorded among the prisoners in Gilboa detention camp, providing them with adequate health care and keeping the risk of infection away from the rest of the prisoners.
