At the heart of the Corona Cabinet's discussion that is expected to convene today (Wednesday) will be the question of continuing to deal with the epidemic, after the data show that the decline is halted and that the morbidity rate begins to rise again.

According to a previous cabinet decision, street shopping is set to resume on Sunday.

However, in a preliminary discussion held yesterday, the need arose to stop the easing, in light of what appears to be a reversal of a trend.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said at the hearing that "there should be no fear of taking a step back."

On the other hand, the Minister of Finance, Israel Katz, will reiterate the demand for the opening of the stores as agreed.

At the same time business owners are outraged at the delays in decisions.

In the run-up to the cabinet debate these demand to be opened immediately, as the economic implications are significant in their words.

Meanwhile, during a visit to Alon's headquarters, Corona's commissioner, Prof. Roni Gamzo, said that the IDF had set up the best cutting chain in the world. Gamzo estimated that the incidence of morbidity in Israel is ten times greater than the number of verified.

Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Bnei Gantz also spoke about the development of capabilities in truncating the contagion chains and the readiness of the headquarters for the winter period.

Gantz welcomed the implementation of the Home Front Command's "geographical adoption" program, in which military units will be deployed to support nearby localities, in addition to the Defense Forces' "Personnel 2" program, which was launched this week in 128 green and yellow localities across the country. .

The defense minister also approved the chief of staff's plan to build a technology incubator to help fight Corona.

Gantz stressed that he intends to demand that the closures be extended to all red cities, "so that we can act on disease centers on the one hand, and open the places as carefully as possible."

And in the political arena, the debate between the ultra-Orthodox and Netanyahu continued yesterday against the background of the issue of the level of corona fines.

Yesterday, the Ministerial Committee on Legislation decided to advance the bill to increase fines on those who improved corona guidelines.

However, the ministers decided to reduce the planned increase approved by the Corona Cabinet, following opposition from the ultra-Orthodox parties.

Also, the Corona Cabinet is expected to finally confirm today the possibility of open-air studies.

The permission to teach in the open field was given about ten days ago, but a dispute between the Ministry of Health and the Knesset Education Committee prevented the implementation of the move.

The person who intervened in the issue and pushed for a solution is the mayor of Beit Shemesh, Aliza Bloch.

The pressure worked and yesterday Kish updated Bloch on the agreement that a group of 19 children would be able to study in permanent capsules outside.

After the new outline is approved by the Cabinet, it will be submitted to the Knesset Education Committee for approval.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education announced yesterday that due to the closure and the continuation of distance learning, the date of the winter matriculation will be postponed by one month and the exams will be spread over three months.

The summer date will also be postponed.
