Today, the Sweida Agriculture Directorate started the sale and distribution of forest plantings for the current season, produced by Al-Ain nurseries and the foresters group.
The head of the Forestry Department in the Agriculture Directorate, Eng. Anas Abu Fakhr, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent today that there are currently 460,000 seedlings of various types of forests, and those interested will be sold according to the approved prices of 200 liras per implant with a small bag, 300 liras per implant in a medium bag, and 600 liras per implant with a large bag.
Abu Fakhr explained that the plants are distributed free of charge to meet the needs of hospitals, temples, cemeteries, the Directorate of Education and afforestation campaigns within the sites of artificial afforestation.
The As-Suwayda Agriculture Directorate provided last season about 154 thousand forest seedlings for cultivation in several locations in the governorate, including 125 thousand plantings that were distributed free of charge to official departments and places of worship and the directorate's afforestation plan, while the rest of the plants were sold according to the approved prices for each type.
