As-Suwayda governorate determines the fares for transporting passengers in taxi cars operating on gasoline

As-Suwayda governorate has set the fares for transporting passengers in gasoline taxis within the cities and towns of the governorate.

According to the wage determination decision that SANA received a copy of, the tariff for a taxi application inside the city of As-Suwayda and to any destination in it is 750 Syrian pounds. By phone from the transport and travel offices, it is 800 pounds, while the fare for a single passenger for a taxi service is 200 pounds.

The decision specified the tariff for the taxi request within the cities of Shahba and Salkhad at 550 liras, and by phone from the offices 600 liras, and the fee for one passenger for a taxi service is 150 liras, while the decision included setting the tariff for the taxi request within the governorate’s towns and villages at 350 liras and by phone from the offices 400 liras.

The governorate also determined the transportation fees for passengers in the taxi between the various regions according to the kilometer distance and amounted to 3 thousand liras from the city of Sweida to the city of Shahba for the order and 500 liras for a taxi service per passenger and from the city of Sweida to the farm town for the request 1800 liras and for a taxi service per passenger 400 liras.

The decision indicated the need for taxi car owners to clearly announce the wages and adhere to them, under penalty of punishment for violators with the penalties stipulated in the laws and regulations in force.
