The eye of Hurricane Eta, considered "extremely dangerous," has already entered Nicaragua and is creating life-threatening conditions in Nicaragua and other Central American nations, where its effects will be felt in the coming days.
There could be nearly a meter of rain in isolated parts of Nicaragua and Honduras through Friday, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
