The small street of April 24, 1915 is quiet, on this Tuesday morning in early November.
At number 32, the long curtains of the Armenian National Center of Remembrance are drawn due to confinement.
The facade, it was washed of the pro-Erdogan tags inscribed in fluorescent yellow by members of the “Gray Wolves”, in the night from Saturday to Sunday.
At the foot of the 1915 Genocide Memorial opposite it, freshly placed flowers have replaced the insults against the Armenian community, probably tagged with the same hand.

On the small cards that accompany the bouquets, we can read a few simple words, signs of the solidarity of the Decinese population with the Franco-Armenian community of the city: “
To our Armenian friends
”.
But if the Kärcher is right about the marks of paint on the walls, he does not erase the emotion aroused by the demonstrations of force, orchestrated recently by an ultranationalist Turkish faction in the Lyon region.
