The citizens' initiative (BI) for a liveable Germering continues to fight for a less dense development of the Kreuzlinger Feld.

In order to strengthen their demands, BI representatives handed over around 1400 signatures to Mayor Andreas Haas yesterday.

Germering

- According to the current plans, around 600 apartments for around 1200 residents are to be built in the Kreuzlinger Feld in a first construction phase.

The majority of the construction committee decided on this at the end of September and put the development plan into the further process.

The development is therefore less than at the beginning of the process around two years ago.

The BI does not go far enough, as spokesman Thomas Langnickel said when handing the signatures to Mayor Andreas Haas.

It was not a referendum, said Langnickel.

But it could still come to one.

The aim now is to show that there is a not inconsiderable group of people from Germering who reject the planned development, said Langnickel.

He and his colleagues Achim Pusch, Ursula Leis, Sabine Rott and Rudolf Kauper attached great importance to the fact that there was no fundamental opposition to the development.

“We just want to influence the city so that the current planning is reconsidered,” says Thomas Langnickel.

Achim Pusch added: "We did not feel that we were being taken seriously when dealing with the citizens' objections in the ongoing proceedings."
