Mask on!

This now applies to the Michael-Ende-Kurpark in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Until the corona situation has calmed down again.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen

- It is the green lung in the center of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, invites you to relax and take a breath.

From Wednesday (November 4th), however, this is only allowed with mouth and nose protection.

GaPa-Tourismus asks visitors to wear a mask in the Michael-Ende-Kurpark.

Corresponding notices are already attached to the entrances.

Knowing that the mask requirement will not meet with approval from some, the team around managing director Michael Gerber made a conscious decision to take the step.

GaPa-Tourismus GmbH - landlady of the spa gardens - is reacting to the currently rapidly increasing incidence in the market town.

"We are fulfilling our duty of care towards the citizens", says spokeswoman Elisabeth Brück.

The proximity of the spa park to the areas designated by the district office with mouth and nose protection also led to the decision to wear a mask.

Those responsible are now relying on the guests' insight and appeal to implement this measure for the protection and well-being of the general public, even if the distance is given.

The obligation will be lifted as soon as the corona situation allows it again.
